Tool box for Radio Controlled Cars and Trucks

Taking care of your RC Cars and Trucks.

Firstly we are going to discuss  what tools you should have in your tool chest for you to be able to preform any maintenance, repairs or servicing to your RC Vehicle or Truck. Or even if you are building a kit these tools will go a far in helping you maintaining your RC  vehicle.  To kick off with, make a sure to try and acquire yourself a tough toolbox, if you do not already possess the majority of tools you will require, ensure get a large enough tool box to take in all your tools, and one that has miniature trays. This will keep all your small parts and tools in one location and not on the floor or in the dirt outside. Nothing worse than losing something while you are out and about, as you do not have reliable storage space to keep things in place. These trolly tool chests are grand too,and it’s effortless to cart around.

Secondly, depending on whether you possess an electric or a nitro rc car the contents of your toolbox will be slightly different. But as far as the tools go needed to work on the  vehicle itself they will be the same for both.  For the electric car, you will have your battery chargers, dischargers and a good quality multimeter you can not try and resolve an electrical issue not having one of these. And dont stress for the kind of tests you may need to do on your car or equipment it is relatively easy. A soldering gun is also very nifty to have in your toolbox, and remember the solder. You can get miniature sized ones that uses butane gas, so no mains power needed to make use of them. But it is a fine tool to acquire anyway, because they come with a blow torch and hot knife which is usefull in this hobby.

Rc Nitro Cars and Trucks, you will need a starter kit which has, fuel pump, crosses, charger, glow plug, screwdrivers. You can get these in kits and is reasonably standard accross the range. A starter box is also valuable to have and it is still the easiest way to start you Nitro engine. It is not needed if your nitro engine has a pull start or like some cars that have a built in starting system. A tough fuel container to carry and store your fuel in. Bear in mind that the fuel used is exceptionally flammable and should be handled with respect.  The most general tools you can acquire in kits, but you want it to have a mini pair of longnose pliers, tweezers, precision screwdrivers, magnetic pickup tool, scissors, tiny tube spanner set, little wrench set. There is a lot extra you can add to your tool chest, but you will get to know what you will require for your kit as you grow.

Just keep in mind if you use the wrong tools on your vehicle you are not only going to trash your vehicle and parts, you will not be able to take care of it flawlessly and it is going to cost you more than it should have.

Boy Genius and the Mogul: The Untold Story of Television

Boy Genius and the Mogul: The Untold Story of Television

$14.99

The world remembers Edison, Ford, and the Wright Brothers. But what about Philo T. Farnsworth, the inventor of television, an innovation that did as much as any other to shape the twentieth century? That question lies at the heart of The Boy Genius and the Mogul, Daniel Stashower’s captivating chronicle of television’s true inventor, the battle he faced to capitalize on his breakthrough, and the powerful forces that resulted in the collapse of his dreams. The son of a Mormon farmer, Farnsworth was born in 1906 in a single-room log cabin on an isolated homestead in Utah. The Farnsworth family farm had no radio, no telephone, and no electricity. Yet, motivated by the stories of scientists and inventors he read about in the science magazines of the day, young Philo set his sights on becoming an inventor. By his early teens, Farnsworth had become an inveterate tinkerer, able to repair broken farm equipment when no one else could. It was inevitable that when he read an article about a new idea — for the transmission of pictures by radio waves–that he would want to attempt it himself. One day while he was walking through a hay field, Farnsworth took note of the straight, parallel lines of the furrows and envisioned a system of scanning a visual image line by line and transmitting it to a remote screen. He soon sketched a diagram for an early television camera tube. It was 1921 and Farnsworth was only fourteen years old.Farnsworth went on to college to pursue his studies of electrical engineering but was forced to quit after two years due to the death of his father. Even so, he soon managed to persuade a group of California investors to set him up in his own research lab where, in 1927, he produced the first all-electronic television image and later patented his invention. While Farnsworth’s invention was a landmark, it was also the beginning of a struggle against an immense corporate power that would consume much of his life. That corporate power was
